Wintergreen Resort
My parents just won an all-expenses paid vacation at the Wintergreen Resort. THey've never been, nor have I. Does anyone have any information/experiences on it that they can share?
Thanks!

Is it really a vacation or do they have to sit through a time-share presentation? If they do, it will take about 2-3 hours.
The resort is lovely though.
The mountains and other scenery are great as are the facilities.
If you are interested, make time to get off of the resort and explore the surrounding areas. There are some nice wineries and the area is rich in Colonial history.
Enjoy....

My aunt took my cousin there as a 5 year old, quite a few years ago. It was a typical my aunt trip- absolutely no research into the venue and she vehemently ignored anyone's suggestions to the contrary of her misguided opinion of it.
She was shocked to find a no young children crowd and mostly golfing at this resort advertised as a golfing destination. Based on that, having never been there, I surmise it is probably a lovely, well-appointed place.

Wonderful
I have been to Wintergreen Resort countless times (I used to live in the area). Wonderful place for outdoor activities. It has 2 great and vastly different golf course, numerous outdoor tennis courts, a huge indoor tennis complex, miles upon miles of trails (from easy 1 milers to more streneous 10+milers), a lake with canoeing, bicycle rentals, outdoor and indoor pools, etc. (skiing in the winter as well). The whole place is just very serene and has a lot to offer. The dining options are limited, but several are very good. The vineyard is also worth a visit.
PM me if you have any specific questions.
