Kennedy Center

I have tickets to the opera next Thursday at the Kennedy center, will be staying at the Hays-Adams, in your experience do you find it better to arrange for a car to take us back and forth or are cabs readily available i.e. no long lines etc after the performance? Thanks for your help guys ^

Cabs are readily available, but lines are often an issue. One way I get around this is to walk over to the Watergate buildings and then pick up the car there or a cab on the street nearby. Arranging for a car to get you can be a headache as there are occassionally long lines of cars coming to pick up people.
