I love the amazing race but I am really not looking forward to this season having watched it last night. The kids really aren't that bad...the adults are usually worse anyways. My big peeve is the fact that this is supposed to go all over the world and all it's going to do is go through out the country. There is only so much family SUV driving that I can watch. After seeing episodes going from S. America to the far east, it's going to be a little downer to watch them go driving down the jersey turnpike.

Agree with the Jersey Turnpike/I95 comments. In fact, if you listen carefully, you can hear the Amish guy tell the family who crashed the buggy words we all were shouting: "GET THEE TO AN AIRPORT...AND HURRY!"

What in the world are those Amish people going to do with all of the little "working" mills? Sell them as playhouses? So strange. I feel bad about the buggy thing. That axle was totally bent and it'll have to be majorly fixed...something to work on after dinner I guess.

The episode that aired 10/4 had to have been filmed on a Sunday -- how else can you explain *light* traffic in DC, readily available parking spaces and all those Civil war buffs being available?

The best thing about this show is the people who get eliminated do it to themselves !

Just wonder if any of the episodes will involve any flights -- 40 people is too many to do this with, let's see what happens when they whittle it down a bit.

Parden the pun, but stay tuned !

I personally hate the idea that they seem to be driving anywhere. I would have much rather seen them take the train to DC and then have to use a cab. That would have been interesting.

They will. A friend saw two of the teams at Dulles. Approx. July 11.

Alright! Our first plane flight and boy was that anticlimatic! WooHoo!

Geez-and I thought that it couldn't get worse but hey...wandering around the Space thingy in Huntsville, AL is B-O-R-I-N-G...doesn't help that it was at night and all I saw were mud puddles...

What in the world were your friends doing there at like 3 in the morning? It looked like there was no one there!

Friend had a 7am departure to somewhere in midwest. TAR folks didn't leave until 8 or so, right? My friend specifically recalled "girls in short shorts" which have to be the wacky Weaver family, no?

Alrighty then: Shall we talk about last night's show?

First off: I feel really bad for the Weavers (FL team). I think it's amazing that they rallied and came together at Talledega but geez that was a doozy.

As for the NOLA team...what a bunch-o-losers. If they could keep their mouths shut long enough to realize that they are being dumb (and may I say not following the directions from the Cop)they deserved to come in last.

I am looking forward to next weeks show and getting out of the country. From the clips on TV last night, it looked like they are going some place humid. Baseball and bungee jumping looked to be on the menu. At first I thought that maybe they were going to go to PR or something (baseball?) but in doing some hunting I could be wrong. (Don't want any spoilers here...might get in trouble.) Looks like there are going to be some non-elimination rounds coming up (3 I believe) so it should be interesting to see what they take away from them during those.

I think the daughter of the NOLA family had a right to be mad at her dad. They just made one mistake after another and didn't deserve to make the cut. I was guessing they're headed somewhere in Central America due to the baseball (thinking along the same lines as Puerto Rico - but they said that they're going out of the country and PR wouldn't technically fit that bill, right?)

Us Iad-chs???

In the episode where they flew IAD-CHS, one of the 3 flights that the teams took was on US. I don't recall US flying IAD-CHS in July...does anyone else? They don't fly it now.

They also showed lots of US boarding passes coming out of the printer. And no, I think they only fly to Charleston from DCA in washington.

As for baseball, it's gotta be the DR.
