My wife and I had a great time in Citronelle. Though it was very very expensive (the bill wounded up to be $450 incl. tax and tip), I have never had that level of service in the U.S. (well, I guess I do not go to fancy restaurants enough
)
The wine selection was extensive but bit too heavy on Californian and French side. We tried Syrah from Australia which was just amazing. The aroma was exclusive and by far the best Australian Syrah I have ever tasted.
We tried "Laurence" (btw, I learned that the chef took this name from his wife) menus which were well balanced and tasty. Most particularly, "Amuse bouche" which was califlower mousse w/ creme freche staffed inside an egg shell topped with sebruga caviar was exquisite.
Portions are generally small but they were perfect for tasting so many dishes ( 4 dishes + dessert).
Anyway, if you would like to take some one special for some special oiccasion, I think it is well worth going to Citronelle.
