Smile Smithsonian DC: The US Botanic Garden

Hi all,

I just wanted to share it with you. So I live in the DC area for several years now. Oddly, I rarely spare some time to explore the city. Though I love doing so whenever I can. So my mom was visiting last week. We decided to go to the US Botanic Garder and tested out my new iPhone 11 camera!! Oh also, parking is better on Sunday morning. Just try to go before 10 AM.

It was better than I expected. Of course, it's because of the free admission - who doesn't like free?! It's a lovely place. I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and definitely will come back in the spring.

By far this is the best botanic garden I've been. If you've been there, what do you think? Do you agree?

Here are some pictures (of course with the new ultra-wide-angle lens ):

I am moving your Thread to the FT Mid-Atlantic Forum (which is where threads on Washington, DC are located)
Photos are beautiful. Thanks for posting.

I like the U.S. Botanic Garden a lot, but it has nothing to do with the Smithsonian (other than I guess physical proximity). The U.S. Botanic Garden is under the jurisdiction of the Architect of the Capitol.

I actually didn't realize that it's not part of the Smithsonian - thanks for the clarification!! :-)

I agree - I love it. This is the first time I actually visited when it's warm. Almost completely different than winter time.
