Longer security delays at IAD?

Just received from United:
Expect longer security checkpoint lines at Washington Dulles International Airport. As you get ready for your flight from Washington Dulles International Airport, please note that Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security checkpoint lines may be longer than normal. We recommend arriving at the airport earlier than usual to allow enough time to get through security.

Any current experience with TSA at IAD to know how significant these delays actually are?

Do you have Pre-Check, CLEAR, or some form of priority access for your carrier?

What day of the week and what time is your flight?

We normally have Pre-Check but Mrs. Mglvug's Global Entry expired and until the renewal goes through I'm not confident we'll get it. But we do have Clear, which I wasn't even thinking about. With that, I'm sure we'll be fine. The flight is Tuesday about 6:00 p.m.

CLEAR without Pre-Check simply means that you have to go through the shoes, laptop, 3-1-1 show. But, it won't take more than 5 minutes.

I also got the same email. I have an upcoming flight mid-August on a Sunday. I wonder what this is all about?

FWIW, we got Pre-Check after all and had a short line and no delays getting through TSA mid-afternoon Tuesday, July 17.
