Brigantine Island, NJ

Hey all.. I've been looking at renting a house on the northern tip of Brigantine Island this summer.. anyone ever been there? I'm looking for a reasonable beach for my kids and peace and quiet... any thoughts?

We go there fairly often in the summer, I think Brigantine has great beaches. We usually go towards the lower end (17th st), the beaches are a little bigger at that end. (At least they were, haven't seen them since Sandy!)
It's probably 45 minutes to the Ocean City boardwalk, which could offer a nice night time diversion for the kids.
Feel free to pm if I can be of any help!

Brigantine has some fantastic rental properties and it's not super crowded like the Cape May beaches. It's not too far from Atlantic City, where you can get some pretty good food and entertainment.

Question What about Sandy?

To ask the obvious question, how did Brigantine fare facing Hurricane Sandy:

Some areas were hit hard especially in the north side of Brigantine. I have a few friends who live there and everything is slowly getting back together. I'm positive that most vacation rental owners will have their properties in good condition by Memorial Day.
