Internation connection at IAD.

Hi,

I have booked my return tickets from SFO to Delhi india by qatar. It has domestic connection from SFO to IAD by United Airlines.

Do I need to collect the luggage at IAD and re checkin?
There is 2:45hr layover between domestic United and International QR. Is this time enough to make it?
Do I also need to collect the boarding pass at IAD?
Where should I return the i94 form?

Your bags should be checked all the way at SFO, since UA partners with QR - so no need to collect them at Dulles. Your connection time is fine. Note that QR uses gate A19, but there is no security involved in your transfer at Dulles. Hopefully, you will get your QR boarding pass in SFO - if not just go to the QR gate A19. Finally, your I-94 will be collected when you board the QR flight.

Have a safe trip.

Thanks Annandaler.

I talked to United today, they confirmed that they will transfer the bag but I have to collect my QR boarding pass at IAD.

Any idea on which terminal United flight comes at IAD?

United flights SFO-IAD come to either C or D gates (C/D is one very long building). If you come to one of the C gates, follow the overhead signs for "Gates A, B, ....", which will lead you to the train, and then one stop on the train to the A concourse where QR is. If you come to one of the D gates, follow similar signs, which will lead you to the Mobile Lounge docking area. Take the right-most Mobile Lounge to the A Concourse. If the D-to-A Mobile Lounge isn't running at that time, take the D-to-Terminal Mobile Lounge and then follow the signs to walk or take the train to A Concourse.

All of this is post security.

At SFO, it's all the same, doesn't matter about international or domestic.
At IAD, go to the QR gate - that way you stay airside.
If you go to the QR counter, you have to go all the way to the main terminal - out of the secure area - and then back through security.
