Best Steak in DC?

I did about a 5 min search and did not find a thread. Sorry if there is one!

Taking customers out for dinner in a few weeks.

Whats the best steak place in the District regardless of price.

Thank you.

Here are 3 suggestions:

1st) J&G Steakhouse
www.jgsteakhousewashingtondc.com

2nd) BLT Steak
www.bltsteak.com

3rd) Charlie Palmer Steak
www.charliepalmer.com/Properties/CPSteak/DC/

Washingtonian Magazine (www.washingtonian.com) has a good restaurant section you can search for more info.

J&G is surprisingly good. So is Bourbon Steak.

I ate at Sam & Harry's on a visit to DC a few months ago - very good restaurant.

I'll second (third?) BLT Steak. I also remember the District Chophouse being very good, though I haven't been there in about three years (nothing to do with the quality, I just prefer to cook my own steak).

I realize you specifically asked about Steaks, but i would mention Ocenairre. It is similar to a seafood version of Morton's. Great service, etc.

Other traditional steak choices would be

1) Capitol Grille

2) The Caucus Room

In no particular order,
Palm (DC, never been to Tyson's Shop)
Capital Grille
Mortons Crystal City

That's my two cents.
