IAD Transfer C Gates To A Gates

Hello! I have an upcoming flight transfer in IAD from C Gates to A Gates. Does anyone know if those shuttle buses are still going between those gates? Are they still leaving near Gate C-16 or do I now have to take the underground transit system? Thanks for the help! Safe Flying!

Trains won't start until 1/26 for passengers - are you travelling before then, definitely a bus. Not sure what the deal will be after that date, there are a few posters who are insiders at IAD who might be able to offer more for what happens after the date, but I think its going to be the train (g'luck!)

IAD A-C Connect

I just flew out of IAD this weekend and since I had some time to kill, I figured I'd take the new underground walkway from Main to Terminal A (just to see what's there) and then take the shuttle bus thingies to Terminal C. Once in A, most signs said to get to C, I'd need to go back to Main. One sign, though, said to go toward the A/B borderline and get an A to C bus there.

So I walked down to A/B border... and found nothing but a side passageway blocked off by drywall. Not sure if I walked into B if buses maybe picked up from there, but I gave up.

I walked back to Main, and took shuttle to C.

YMMV,

Alumino - I think you used the walkway to Terminal B, if you enter that terminal (after you take that escalator up) and turn left - you would run into Terminal A. After crossing up and over the road between the two terminals, there are shuttles that take you over to Terminal C and D.
The signage, according to another poster in the Washington DC forum, along with some of the terminal identifications will change for 1/26 when they put the train into production for passengers.

If you had kept going toward A down the escalator past the boarded up wall you would have got to the mobile lounge from A to C. It was running at around 4:15PM on Friday when I last took it.
