Heading there next weekend for a getaway myself. I need it

I have heard it is a beautiful city and was just wondering if anyone can recommend any non-touristy type restaurants to get the real taste of Guadalajara.

Im staying at the Hilton downtown so Im not sure how far it is from everything.

Thanks

Ian

IIRC the local expert on tripadvisor.com posted recommendations recently on the Guadalajara forum. Have a look there.

Sorry if I'm too late but a real local place is La Chata on Avenida Corona. There's always a line full of locals. La Gorda across the street is OK but we like La Chata better.
