Dining in Cabo

My family is traveling to Cabo over winter break, and since we have never been there I could use "Cabo 101". After reviewing a friends list of hotel recommendations and finding that most hotels were booked at this point, we are staying at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach hotel . I know that most of the better hotels are in the corridor, and that we are not, but I don't know exactly where we are located.
When people refer to downtown, where is that? Will we need a car, or are we near anything?
We are a "foodie" family...where should we book dinner reservations? When listing restaurants, please give me a sense of their location so I can get a mental lay of the land.

If any of you ever travel to Maui and need the 411 on that place, I'll be happy to return the favor!

i'm not familiar with the location of your hotel....is it in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo? If the latter, I can suggest several places to eat. Cabo is very expensive, BTW.
