Texcoco, Estado de Mexico - Suggestions

I moved to the Texcoco area back in 1982...and I lived in Mexico for 8 years....

Admitedly it's been 20+ years since I moved there...and it's been 10+ years since I last visited the area...

I'm thinking about making a return trip (down nostalgia lane so to speak)...and I'm wondering if anyone in the FT community is familiar with Texcoco. Specifically would I have to stay in Mexico city and drive out? Or are there any hotels around Texcoco? I wasn't familiar with any when I lived there, but I'm wondering if any have moved in there....

I'll bet things have changed! But I think Texcoco has a couple of three star and possibly a four star hotel. Check this link to see a list of hotels used by a recent international conference held in Texcoco for some ideas.

thanks

Funny, I recognize at least one of those hotel names, although I remember it as a restaurant/disco, not the 4* hotel....
