Los Cabos

I was wondering how the Lawrence Welk resort in Cabos is? I will be going there for Spring break at the end of this month and was wondering how the weather is and how the ocean temperature is.

How far is Cabos San Lucas to Todos Santos by Car? Would you recommend going to Cabo Wabo, Senor Frogs and other cool places? What bar has the best happy hour in terms of prices ?

How much can one expect to pay for a margarita, beer etc? For instance can one go to a store and get a 40 oz beer for $3 or Modelo for $2. I know that Cabos is expensive but I am sure deals can be found.

Is the Tequila Museum good at the marina?

With regards to driving how is the road from the airport to Cabo San Lucas what is the best way to go(toll road or regular highway)? It looks like the road between Cabos San Lucas and Los Cabos is a divided highway. Going to Todos Santos or La Plaz is the road very curvy?

I know that El Medano beach is a good place for happy hour. What time is happy hours and what price can one expect to pay?

And for golfing where is the best golf course for the best price?

Thanks

I can't help you with the drinking questions, but I can tell you that the road from Cabo San Lucas to Todos Santos is quite good, and it's no more than an hour and 15 minutes drive, and 15 minutes of that will be traffic around Cabo San Lucas. But there is really NOTHING on the drive but uninhabited oceanfront desert scenery for about 40 miles. The road from Todos Santos to CSL is almost dead straight. The road from Todos Santos to La Paz had a lot of construction and delays as a result going on when I was there last year.

As for golf, there are tons of great courses, most of which are pretty expensive, but deals can be gotten. The deals that are available are always changing based upon how booked they are, and what promotions are going on at a given time - the best thing to do is get there and start pricing them.

The Welk Resort is pretty near brand new, and has gotten really good reviews from what I've seen. The drive between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas is around 38 km (or around 22 miles) along good highway - but it's known for lots of accidents, because many folks drive fast and drunk and are unfamiliar with the route. I hope you don't plan on being one of those folks. I tend to take the regular road, not the toll road, from the airport to San Jose del Cabo. But there is generally traffic for around 5 miles in San Jose. From that point on, the toll road hits the main corridor highway, so it's the same drive for the last 22 miles into Cabo San Lucas.
