Has anyone ever experienced problem when using LPR rate

I found 59 euro for Renaissance Barcelona airport with LpR rate, 40% cheaper than the next lowest rate I found under code ODZ.

there is no mention of any restrictions under rate rule, do you guys think would be a problem when I check in?

I would say that if the rate does not mention any id or other requirements, then you should be fairly safe. I would suggest you make a copy of the reservation and the rate rules just in case there are any "questions."

Also, if you are really in doubt, just give the hotel or Marriott reservations a call and ask. They should be able to tell you whether there would be any issues or not.

If you find an LPR rate (or any rate for that matter) which does not mention any sort of restrictions and is better than when doing a 'no code' general search, use it in a 'Look No Further' claim and, if approved, you will end up with a rate which is another 25% cheaper. I found a LPR rate at the Marriott Courtyard Frankfurt NordwestZentrum for 37 euros...when you click on it, it says Employee rate. Isnt that a bit confusing? How is that a local promotional rate if it is just for employees? I almost booked it without reading further and would have gotten in big trouble when I arrived probably being charged rack rate.

With LPRs it's always good to check the rates rules. If there are no restrictions listed, then you're good to go. Dif properties do dif LPRs all the time. If there is a restriction or some group you know you're not a part of, then I'd check other publicly available codes.

As GlennTheBaker said, use the LPR rate for a LNFG claim, if it has no strings attached. If your claims gets approved, your rate will be changed to a LNFG rate, which will definitely not cause you any problems. In general, if the LPR rate has no restrictions, there should not be any problem to get the LNFG approved.
