Being new to this forum I am not sure this is a great post. However, I know what I generally pay to stay at the Marriott Marquis and when I saw this deal and booked a 3 day weekend for $167.00 per night, I thought I would take a shot and share: From the Marriott email offering:

Tried the Marquis and Renaissance and neither one worked. Must be a limited promotion.

New York must be hurting very badly. My company just negotiated a rate of $199 per night available anytime (I think we actually reserved a fairly large block of rooms (I have no idea how many but it could easily be 50-100+) permanently at this rate and we pay whether we use or not. If we go above our block, we get rooms at that rate if they are available.
This is at both the Marquis and the Times Renaissance.

For hotels actually in the city: All other FS, RI's are more. CY's are only $20 less. This is a good rate for that weekend.
