purchasing additional rewards points
Has anyone purchased rewards points with marriott cheques? My business visa has points which canbe used to by Marriott cheques. I'm about 20,000 miles short on a stay I have planned ofr later this year nad need the miles to save about $400.

Unfortunately there is no way to use a Marriott check to purchase points. Points can only be purchased with a valid credit card.

Also keep in mind (and please correct if my understanding is wrong) that there is a 50,000 point limit per account on purchase of points per calendar year. So if you reach that limit, you will have to wait until Jan. 1 before you regain eligibility to purchase (or receive as a gift) Marriott Rewards points.
