San Francisco

I appreciate anyone's advice on this in advance.

I am heading to San Fran in the mid of October and wanting to know what the best corporate code is for a property downtown.

Thanks!

Giving dates of your stay might help. Plus check the codes in sticky thread and check yourself. Once done you can always ask in LNF thread.

JW Marriott is a good location near the shopping of Union Square and the cable car tracks, and the knee wrenching Nob Hill walk up to the InterContinental Mark Hopkins and Fairmont Hotels.

If you want great views of the San Francisco skyline try and visit the Grandviews Restaurant two blocks away at the top of the Grand Hyatt or the Top of the Mark at the Mark Hopkins. You can visit these places for photo snaps even if you aren't desiring to stay and eat.

As far as price, mid-October is peak of peak season for the city. One of the most likely times of the year to break 80 degrees downtown, but not that common.

Hmmm, do we work for the same company? Or just companies that have a similar rate???

I stayed there for two nights a few months back. They upgraded me to a suite that was SWEET!! Friends who met me for dinner could not get over how nice it was, either. I felt guilty because for paying a low rate for such a nice suite! The room even had a butler bell. (The room may have been called the Pacific Suite and it may have been on the 17th floor.) There was a living area, dining area, desk area, two bathrooms, and a bedroom that was connected to the living room by french doors.

This was also the one Marriott property that treated me the best because I was Plat. When I pulled up in the car, the Valet recognized the name. There was a long line at check-in, but he got someone behind the counter to just go ahead and check me in quietly. And the upgrade was awesome, and a cheese, fruit and wine plate was in the room when I got there.

I will never stay at any other SF hotel again.

Wedding guests from out of town all stayed at the JW downtown using XYZ corp code fro the weekend and worked out great! Friend did work at XYZ and gave me her XYZ corp code for mid $100 Trying to get decent rates for visitors on a group booking was a nightmare. It was outrageous. Finally just sent the code out on a slip of paper with the official wedding invite. Those that used it loved it and had no problems at checkin.

BTW... pls don't ask me for the code. It's been awhile since i've been actively reading these posts but i think the "what can be posted" rules have changed.
