Hi.
Sorry if this has already been mentioned...
I just noticed that under "travel packages" on the Marriottrewards website, they are now offering an "all-inclusive" option for additional points. So...for a 7-night stay (using points), you can add on the all-inclusive option:
* Points: 90,000
* Code: CI7
7 resorts in Latin America and the Caribbean
Relax and fully enjoy your dream vacation. Use your points for an Inclusive Reward for food, beverages and more when used in conjunction with a 7-night hotel reward.
Select from one of our seven participating resort locations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Frenchmans Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort
- CasaMagna Marriott Cancn Resort
- St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino
- Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort
- Cuarcao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino
- Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort
- CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa

Interesting. I wonder what the restrictions are? Not too much mentioned on the website. I assume beverages means alchohol included. Can you bring a family of 4 and everyone is covered? Is this good at any hotel in the resort for any food or is there a dollar restriction. If you can get $150 worth per day on a 7 day, you are redeeming at a rate of 1.16 cents per point.

It seems like they are excluding certain items and drinks on the menu. Personally, I consider this a borderline redemption. I have no idea what the price of food at these resorts are, but I cannot see this being a good deal unless you are traveling with at least one or two children or you plan to drink like a fish. The award seems almost like it is in lieu of paying for club access at some of these resorts, and 90,000 points is a pretty good chunk of points (60 % of a week at a category 7 hotel).

I tend to agree that it would be borderline, especially since they don't tell us what the menu exclusions are. Also, depending on the hotel restaurants, there may not be much choice in eating or the restaurant may not be all that good. And personally, I like going out and trying some of the local food rather than staying at the hotel all the time.

90,000 points is a lot for food. But its nice to see Marriott offer different types of ways to use points if one chooses.
Even if the hotel is great, I'd still be going out for meals from time to time as eating at the same restaurant becomes boring after a few days.
I understand the exclusions on certain "luxury" brands of alcohol but would worry a little bit about menu exclusions....you go to the restaurant and your wife wants to have the lobster.....sorry its excluded.....well now your paying for lobster

But if you have kids, this may not be a bad deal at all. I would much rather feel like I am wasting points rather than money. ^
I have stayed at a few of these properties and the food aint exactly cheap (St. Thomas, St Kitts).

Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on the value of this deal at the Puerto Vallerta, Mexico resort. I just booked a week using points and wondered if I should redeem some more points for the all inclusive. I want to make sure I can eat steak and not just hamburgers or salmon, not fish sticks.
By the way, do they have a Club Lounge?

I just ordered two of these C17s (for four people) at Marriott Frenchman's Reef. We were there last year and the restaurants on-site were pretty good but quite expensive. So I figured it's worth it especially we are traveling with two teenagers who can really eat! Will report back after Thanksgiving.

This package was a great deal for my wife, son, and I in Cancun last year. The CasaMagna in Cancun had 5 dining spots on site as well as a swim up bar. The only things you had to pay for with this were: premium cuts of steak (only one on the menu), room service, and champagne, and full bottles of wine.
Our 6 y/o son was able to go to the kids club free, which usually costs $30-40 per day as well.
Overall, this was an amazing deal. My math looks like this:
Breakfast daily x 2 adults= $30
Breakfast daily x 1 child= $10
Lunch daily x 2 adults= $40
Lunch daily x 1 child= $15
Dinner x 3 people= $100
8 misc. drinks per day soda/alcohol $50
Kids club daily= $30
Total=$275 x 7 days= $1925.00
The value is truely in the eye of the beholder. For this beholder the $1925.00 may not have been as readily available and not having to fork out that kind of cash was great, especially when my employer paid for the nights that earned my points!

Just got back from Marriott Frenchman's Reef. We had a great time there.
I ordered two C17s for four of us (mom, dad, two teenage boys). It's nice to eat and drink what we want, when we want, and where we want without any concerns for cost
In the end, we ordered almost $3000 worth of food and drinks (plus tips), plus the rental of snorkeling gears and floats. This may not be the best usage of points but it's worth it to me for the fact that I don't even need to think about the cost during the entire stay there...All we did is to write "AI" on all the bills!
Let me know if you guys have any specific questions. I'll try my best to answer.

Upon check-in, you will receive a copy of a long list of things that are included and not included. If you have a specific question, post here and I will answer. I'll see if I can find the copy and post it here.
