paper cert reward issue - double debit

Just an FYI per the call I just had with MR

If you have paper certificates out for someone other than yourself, the reservation system *may* decide to order electronic certificates for those same reservations 7 days out.

I've got several multi night stay award certs for family members for a stay next week, and today the system debited my account again for the same amounts, for electronic certificates.

MR fixed it in no time and was aware of the issue. They say it stems from the fact that they are doing away with paper certs entirely. The reservations system is already updated, but the MR system won't be until year-end, so in certain cases the system tries to "help" by ordering electronic certs for upcoming aware stays if it doesn't see them out there.

Just a heads up...

That is a known issue... and been discussed here before.

It is a pain... but just means we have to wach our accounts very carefully.

Just like the "certs dont match" and we will "automatically order them" 7 days before message BS that happens with the travel packages.

MR has lost $11K THIS YEAR to Hyatt, and will lose MORE until this is fixed.
