Why does it take a week for points and nights to show on Marriott.com?

It seems like every other loyalty program I deal with is able to credit my account, if not immediately, at least by the next day. Yet Marriott continues to take a week or more to show credit online.... what gives with this?

It's a well know secret that every Marriott property has to withdrawal all of their Marriott Reward Points from the Marriott Rewards Points Bank in Utah. This can only happen on Tuesday nights. This also involves a complicated series of hand shakes and several urinalysis to determine the recipient worthy. If all goes to plan, the employee can travel back to the property via camel. Only after they return, the points can be deposited and transferred. Just imagine if you were staying in Thailand every week.
Or maybe it just takes a bit to process.
The world may never know...
Have a beer and relax. They points will be there soon enough.

While it took more than a day, I received credit for my Cairo Marriott trip already. I checked out early Sunday morning and received the credit yesterday. Two days isn't that bad. In fact, I received my Marriott credit sooner than AA posted my flights.

IMHO starwood is the best; a day or two at most and they are in
Marriott is one of the slower ones although a week is a bit long
My SAT Riverwalk stay posted last night and I checked out Friday morning so it was five days and they forgot the plat bonus of course

Mine seem to take about a week also.
At 2 weeks I call to get them posted. I always ask if they know why they didn't post but usually get the "they are there now" answer.
