Use of $100 BB on Packages

I am looking at booking a room at the SF MArriott and have a $100 BB to use. Regular room rate is $169 or I can book a shopping package that includes an American Express $50 gift card each day for $202. Can I use the BB on the package rate.

If the rate is publicly available then, yes.

If unsure, call the number on the BB and ask them.

The easiest way to find out if a rate is publicly available is to go to the Marriott website, but do not use your MR # to log on. Also do not select any special or corporate rate box. Select your hotel and date...if a rate visible, it is publicly available. If it is not....it is against the T&C's of the BB.

There are times when hotels will accept a BB on any rate, but best not to count on that...
