random question
I am in the process of booking a room in Charlotte for the weekend of March 28-30. I noticed under the special event rate of $209 the following:
SPECIAL EVENT RATE * KING ROOM (1 KING BED) * MAX 3 PPL *NO PARTY POLICY IN EFFECT*
I've never seen this no party thing before and was just curious if different groups require the hotel to be that way in order to book a block of rooms? I looked the weekend before and did not see this notation on the room rates.

from Charlotte.com ......The Road to the 2008 Final Four passes through Charlotte with the 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. Hosted by the Charlotte 49ers & Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
this is the weekend you are there...........hence, no party rule
I hope you are staying in a FS or one of the Rens, otherwise........

Well, you would pay $209 plus for a FI if it were a big NASCAR weekend rather than B-ball
....
If you have not stayed there Ren SP is very nice - fairly new and in a great area with retaurants, shopping, etc.
There is a McCormick and Schmicks about a block away in the event you have one of their couponsor belong to their club.....call ahead for a res, ask for a snug (booth) and the waiter Matt and you will have a great dinner with wonderful service..........

Thanks....I have stayed there before and it is just "okay" in my book. Rooms still need some work, especially on the Club Floor....i like it because it is right across the street from the mall
