A little birdy told me about something come March. It will become a Brand standard for non resort full service properties (Marriott, JW, and Renaissance)to offer a Breakfest Buffett (Full) to all Gold's and Platinum's staying Saturday and Sunday morning. An alternative would be to have the CL open on Saturday and Sunday Morning.
Be on the look out for this....

Is this for just JW Marriott and Marriott hotels only? Or does it include Renaissance as well? Someone else made a similar comment in the CL thread about the change coming.

The downside is that virtually all fs properties will be designated as resorts.

I was thinking the same thing, ohmark. I really don't understand why Marriott excludes their resorts from so many MR benefits. It reminds me of back when HHonors would give a flat 500 points per stay at a resort regardless of spend. They smartened up--hopefully Marriott will, too.

I like it but I wish resorts were included.

I wish the birdy brings in the "alternative". Having the CL opens for weekends means you can pop in and out for water and scheduled food servings. Better than just breakfast buffet. Occasionally (depends on property) you will find an internet station inside the CL. That's extra gravy ^
