Rolling Year
Since I started with Marriott in April (through a Status Match) I wont be able to do 75 nights till mid-Feb (rolling year).
1 - Will I be able to be renewed as a plat based on the rolling year?
2 - Will my renewal in that case be for 1 yr or 2 yrs?
3 - Does it count toward plat status earned for lifetime plat. For example this is the only time I qualify for plat (albeit on a rolling yr) but I have 60 nights/ye for the next 15 year to get me over 1000 nights. The qual are 1000 nights and plat status earned at least once I think.

I believe the rolling tier is good for Requalifying and not for initial qualifying.
When I spoke to the Plat desk on behalf of a friend who is based Overseas they told me (thinking I was him) that since I (he) didnt have any Stays at all last Dec '06 or Jan '07 that in order to requalify I (he) would need to get all 75 done by 1/1.
This was late Nov, last week they told me that they alreay went ahead and renewed my (his) Plat status which he has had for 10+ yrs, even though he was still short by a couple of nights.
So is MR doing like HH and will they look at any 12 month period of activity, each month?

The rolling tier is good for moving to a higher elite level, not for requalifying. But with that said, if someone does not requalify within the calendar year and they are downgraded to a lower status, the rolling year qualification can come back into play almost immediately.
As for the OP's 3rd question, there is no '75 nights within a calendar year' requirement for Emeritus status, so it shouldn't matter how you received your Plat status. It only matters that you did receive it at some point.

did receive it as in being status matched (this yr) or rolling yr (next yr).
I will have 75 nights in 10 months, just dont want to eventually get 1000 nights and not have it count.

You should have no worries about that. Lifetime platinum status only requires you to earn platinum in at least one year, and it doesn't matter if it was during a calendar year or from the rolling qualification.

I thought I had enough stays to go to gold but didn't even with rolling year. Just missed it by a few nights i think
Is there a place on the website where you can actually see the stays that are credited towards your total nights - not just the total - for the rolling year?
