Help with Vacation Spots
Looking to take the Mrs on a much needed vacation and I am looking for some help from those knowledgeable FTers.
Recently became Platinum because I organized 20 meetings around the country for work. Needless to say that has netted me quite a few points and I am looking to burn them on a trip.
For some texture, the Mrs. does not have a passport and getting one is not an option at this moment. The Mrs and I both enjoy the finer things in life so need a upscale location. The reason for the trip would be some much needed r&r from the kids as they will not be going. Typically we travel to beach places and that would be where I would look first, but am not opposed to going to a Mountain resort for some skiing (she does, I don't).
Thanks in advance for any help! I recently found this board and it has been very helpful as well as addictive.

I have a soft spot in my heart for www.marriott.com/mrkfl Marco Island (there is also a Ritz-Carlton up the street in Naples which if you are burning the point I'd recommend)

My personal favorite is the Harbor Beach Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale. I great location, beach, hotel, pool and spa.

Ok, so if I choose to go the Ritz route - any suggestions. We got married at the Ritz in Amelia and go all the time as we have a house on the island - so that is out. Although, it is a wonderful property that we enjoy and would recommend to anyone looking to go on vacation.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
