has anyone else noticed the website changes today?

why do they keep changing the website to make it more difficult to book a room? i have the misfortune of having a travel budget and its yet another click i have to make to get what i need.....sounds simple but after awhile, just let me book a room with one step please!

Seems more difficult to me as well....but maybe it just takes getting used to it. I was trying to book a room in San Mateo and the whole peninsula is near sold out. I didn't like that it seems to greatly increase the search region. When entering San Mateo as the city, it was offering me rooms in Pleasanton (?). I don't think it cast such a wide search before.

I noticed the changes. Hotels that I thought had availability didn't seem to show, but I didn't have time to do much research.

I also noticed the changes today, but really didn't want to waste my time discussing another Marriott.com downgrade. In light of the new downgrade, the only thing I did do was to call up Plat Customer Service again to make sure my award certificates are still associated with my reservation since nothing on Marriott.com inidcates I have award certificates, much less that they are associated with my award reservation. These folks are starting to get me POed.

I guess I'm the only one who likes it. I like the way the whole list of available hotels pops up with the prices..............not so much scrolling.

IMHO the whole Marriott website is rather becoming a flashy hotel showcase for an infrequent traveler than a booking engine for frequent traveler.

Why Marriott couldn't make a streamlined booking engine without all the glamor for those who actually just want to make bookings?

I prefer the previous version better. Now, almost 25% of the home page is occupied by a useless ad (.....spa... etc).

Angry Send to MS Outlook still doesn't work

I liked this function very much. Having it unavailable for over a month is inexcusable IMHO.

I happened to have liked the version before this new one. It listed All the Hotels even if they werent available. At least that way if I was flex I would check other dates before and after. Now I will do that just cause I dont know All the Hotels in a given area, and cant know if those listed are teh only ones there or not.

You have the option of viewing the hotels either way. You can select the view you'd like just above the list of hotels and below the map.

Well, well, well!

It appears that tonights maintenance has finally fixed this issue. Now I'll be forced to find some other issue to whine about.
