The Marriott Grand Chateau in Las Vegas has 1 LCD (bedroom) and 1 Plasma (living room) per suite. Granted it is a timeshare property, but they do still rent rooms. The Plasma was a 42".

That's why I didn't recommend a 100" flat screen. Generally, Marriott room bays are 12-13 feet wide. When in bed, you're near one side of the room and the TV's on the other side. Even in the absolute tiniest room, your're 10-11 feet from the TV to your eyeballs.

If we can sit in a movie theatre and have the screen extend across almost all our field of vision, then by God, I want a TV that will do the same.

42" is right for most Marriott rooms. They're deliberately being cheap going with 32".

Agreed. The 42" was a perfect fit for the room.
