Mega Bonus Progress
Does your targeted "Mega Bonus" progress appear anywhere in your account on the Marriott Rewards web site? I can't remember for the 2006 version and nothing shows for me for 2007.
Althought I got a email and promptly registered, I don't see it and fear I am not officially registered. Any I think mine was a fairly high bar, 30,000 for 20 nights?

Sign in to your account, click on account activity and click on "View all promotions & progress".
It will show if you are registered an total points accumulated to date.
Casey.

Yup, did that, the only thing there is an expired "winter DC" promotion. So I fear the registration didn't "stick". I'll have to dig and see if I have any confirmation email and plea to MR to institute it (I can hear the sorries and we apologize's now...) Thanks for the confirmation.

Just re-register for the promotion. As long as your stays are within the promotional dates, you'll get credit. Just make sure you're earning points and not miles.

Thanks, tried to reregister several times, got this error. Of course, I have points selected and confirmed (having 1MM+), but I go around in circles. I've emailed them for help. Thanks for the help everyone.
Your registration can not be completed at this time. If you are a Marriott Rewards member and have selected "miles" as your earning preference, you must change your preference to "points" to participate in the promotion. To change, select edit earning preferences >>

You can also register via automated self service by telephone. The number should be at the bottom. I had problems registering over the net too.

15 nights, 25K points
I had 15 nights in March and got my 25K points. Anybody have any success with calling the Plat desk and asking for more? I have 20+ nights reserved between now and the end of May.

Call Marriott Rewards up. They can't "change" your promotion such that you will automatically get more points, but they can put a note in your account that you preferred a different promotion (i.e. 20 nights/35K points). That way, once the promotion is over, you can call back and they will add the extra points to your account.
I am doing that for the first time with this promotion, but based on other posters in previous Megabonus threads, there haven't been too many issues with getting this done.

That would have been nice.. I am in the double nights promotion.. so it is only for making platinum again. I guess the plus is, once the promotion is over, I can work on renewing my Diamond status at Hilton too
Oh well.. maybe the next one I can get some bonus points

mine is much crappier... 25k for 15 stays. Of course, I stay a ****load of nights, but its unlikely that I will get to 15 separate stays within the bonus period. (my manager does not like to approve expense line items for 4 different hotels in the same week).

As a Marriot Plat, you can call the plat line and have them switch you to the 25k / 15 nights or 35K / 20 nights offer.

# of nights/stays depends on status
A few of my colleagues came across the same issue in 2006 and were told that gold and siver members have different promotions, but as a few others have mentioned you can call and try and have it changed. Chances are they will do it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I called the plan premier line, and the rep said that it is possible to convert the promo, but that I would need to call another number for that (will update as to outcome from calling the other number later).
