Anniversary Bonus

Got the card in the mail today:

Happy Anniversary! We are celebrating 10 years of your membership in Marriott Rewards. We hope that you have enjoyed your membership benefits as much as we have appreciated your business.
Hmmm... I'm certain that it's been much, much longer than 10 years since I was first enrolled in the original Courtyard Club program. Will have to see if I can find the original enroll date, because I got into that closer to 15-20 years ago. Was '97 when they combined the programs?

Regardless....

Make two stays between Aprilt 15, 2007 and June 30, 2007, at any of our 2,600 hotels worldwide, and we'll give you double Marriott reward bonus points.
T&C aren't clear. I assume that I get double points only on the two stays. If I can get double on all stays, I'm golden. If it's just two stays, I'm disappointed.

I believe it's double points for all stays between those dates, starting with your second stay. This promo is covered here:

I don't think they count the CY Club as part of your time with the Marriott Program. I also was a member of the CY club since the early 90s, well before I joined the Marriott Marquis program in the middle 90s. And according to Marriott, they count my start date in 1995.

I got one of these....and I know I've been in MR longer than ten years. I'm also unclear of the T&Cs. But I do know ATM I'm getting double points with every stay.

Sweet! "Devalued"....but sweet!

They're doing a heck of a lot of celebrating - they're also celebrting my sixth year anniversary, which I think is correct.

I got one but after the points had not posted and I contacted Customer Services they told it was for an account I don't remember opening and never used.

Then the fun started!

I had to prove who I was by sending passport copy, banking statement and copy of actual account to Customer Service.

It took nearly 20 emails and a couple of faxes to get sorted out for a few thousand points.

So much for Marriott customer service.

Great! That's what I wanted to hear. Especially since I have a bunch of stays lined up between now and then...

Thanks!

It's just the base points that are doubled.

I wonder how the anniversary double works with the megabonus double, since the time frames overlap?
