Plesant Missing Nights Experience
I was checking my online profile, and noticed that I was missing one of my ten night stays in November (I usually stay at SJCFE, as it's only one block away from work). I called the hotel, and spoke with one of the front desk clerks (BTW: You know you stay too many nights at a hotel when they know your name, by the sound of your voice..."Oh, Hi! Mr. PhoneGuy, how's Ohio?"), and I explained the situation to her. She said that she'd investigate it and give me a call once she had resolved the issue. Later that night, I realized that she didn't call, and just made a note to call Marriott Rewards next week. The Front Desk clerk called me tonight (out of the blue!) and told me that she had faxed everything over to MR and that they were going to credit my stay in 2 or 3 days, an that she would monitor my folio/account and follow up personally next week if my points didn't post.
I totally wasn't expecting that...at all. BTW: I'd stay at the SJCFE as opposed to SJCFM just on the front desk staff alone, if you don't need a restaurant...
