NPR code says Encore 50%
I used this code and booked my hotel and it says I will need ID to check in. I'm not an Encore member, if that is what that is. The rate was $20 less than what I could have got without the code, but for two rooms two nights, I save $100 with taxes. Does anyone know what I can expect at check in?
All I did was search for codes and found a PDF showing where to put a code if you have it and the code they used was NPR...so I used it and it took.
Any help would be great. Stay is Dec. 21 - 23.

A membership program, sort of
A very limited number of Marriott hotels list Encore rates under NPR, often alongside Entertainment Card rates.
A (semi-functional) web site promoting the Encore/Preferred Traveller program can be accessed at www.virtual-encore.com
Not sure whether Encore really exists (the web site certainly raises questions) but if booking these rates or any others requiring proof of eligibility, one should be prepared to produce a membership card at check-in.
FYI - Of six Entertainment Card reservations this year, I was asked to show a card three times.

To update on the below post. No problem checking in at the reduced NPR rate. No ID required.
I'm now trying that code again and it's coming up null/$0. I'm afraid now for this hotel in Ft. Lauderdale it's thinking I have a certificate. Oh well. Still looking for a good workable code for a big discount in Ft. Lauderdale March 9-11th, 2007.
