HELP - Bugs in room

First off, I tried to search for this, but I couldn't get the search to work?

Here is the issue, last night I found a lot of ants in my room, on the desk, on the wall. When I left this morning I called down, and they sprayed. However now it really smells with whatever they sprayed, which I am okay with, however it really didn't help because they are still on the desk and the wall. I have killed two, one died on its own, and I can see one on the wall as I am typing this. I called down again, and they can't move me because they are full, and they offered to move me in the morning. I don't have time to move in the morning, and I don't want them to move my stuff because I would have to re-pack everything which I don't want to do. I offered to move after 5:30pm tomorrow but that would be too late.

I have asked twice to speak to the manager on duty, and they said there isn't one.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

I don't know if this will help, but...

1) Try and do a dummy booking for your same hotel for tonight. Can you get a room? Show the reservation to the front desk.

2) Did you go down to the front desk to get the manager on duty? It's easier to dismiss you over the phone than in person?

3) Ask them to find you another room in a different hotel. Like being walked. (I don't know if this is allowed.)

4) Find your own room in a different hotel, check out of where you are and go there.

Good luck...let us know how this works out.

Update

I called Marriott customer service, she called the hotel, again nothing much they can do, didn't offer to move me to another hotel, didn't offer any points or credit. I was very polite and calm during the call, so I don't know if that helped or hurt the situation.

So after calling the front desk person again, they are going to call my cell phone tomorrow when they have a room ready, and I have to leave work to move my items before 3:00. I would guess 99% chance that it is the same room type or smaller.

You didn't say where you were. If you're in the tropics, I can tell you that the bugs are impervious to both incessant spraying AND complaints by guests.

At least we don't have fire ants this far north (yet)

This got a little worse before it got better, the 2nd and 3rd nights I was kept up by a cricket. I ended up moving the 4th night to a different hotel, and was given 10,000 rewards points (I asked for 28,000 and an upgrade).

Which property?

I often have out of town guest ask for hotel recommendations and I would want to avoid which ever one you had problems in.

Ants and crickets are minor irritations. You haven't really had problems til you wake up with bed bugs crawling on your body. (yes, been there, done that -- at a Marriott property that I will not name since they handled the situation well and took care of the issue to my satisfaction.)

Unbelievable! Have you not ever been kept up by a cricket at your own home? How can a hotel control that? Maybe he came in on your stuff....find him and get rid of him. They were probably glad you moved. The ant(s) are a problem but a cricket...they make noise outside that can penetrate walls. This is just my opinion. I don't think I could work the counter at a hotel.

How can a hotel control it, pesticide, and close up however they got in. There is no way this thing came in with me. Also I switched rooms and both rooms had a cricket in the room, and I am sure it didn't follow with my items because I killed the first one when it tried to join me in the shower the following morning.
