How long to convert points to miles
I'm looking to book a Delta award ticket but I'm short on miles... I can convert MR points to Delta but I'm not sure how long it will take... the MR web site said 6 weeks... does it really take six weeks???
I'm not sure the Delta ticket will be available in six weeks then I'll be stuck with miles I can't use

I was in a similar situation this summer and needed points changed to Delta Miles. I am a Platinum Premier (don't know if that made any difference or not) and Marriott expedited the transaction and it was done in about 3 days. Call Marriott and ask about expedited service. Also, you may know this, but, once you have converted the points to miles, you cannot get the points back. The miles will stay with the airline and cannot be sent back to Marriott as points. I did the expedited transfer (fee waived for Platinums) back in April and the miles were in my DL account the next day.
