Combining Accounts
Does Marriott allow you to combine two Marriott Rewards accounts into one? My family currently has three accounts and we would like to consolodate them into just one to make everything more streamlined. Thank you!

First thing is welcome to FT SJSman.
The answer to your question is that in general Marriott will not let you combine any accounts. They might be willing to combine points in the event that someone accidentally had points credited to a "new" account instead of their existing one. But I don't think that is what you are asking about.
The closest I know of "combining" is that one spouse can help the other to get an award. In other words if one spouse doesn't have the points necessary for a particular award, points from the other spouse can be used to get the points needed. If one of the accounts is yours and the other your spouse, then this may help you get an award you might not individually have the points for. Unfortunately, it won't help you with the 3rd account though.

Not sure about Marriott but my husband and I combined our Hilton Honors account (copy of marriage license required).

I somehow managed to get 2 different MR accounts which they were happy to combine into one with no loss of points but both accounts were in the same name.

Marriott didn't combine my 2 accounts
Marriott didn't combine my 2 accounts.
I have two accounts which just a letter difference of my name, but they did not combine, even won't transfer a few thousands pts from one to the main one. so one of my account lost the pts, that is way back to 2 years ago

I spoke to a Platinum CSR two months ago, and she said that point transfers between 2 different people (they do not have to be related) is allowed as long as you are redeeming the points for an award. This is not a Platinum benefit, but it is an unwritten option available for award redemptions.

As VA1379 has posted, U can transfer just enough points into ANYONE'S MR acct. so the transferee has enough for an award, which can be cancelled a few days later
. I did this with a tCC partner. It says 'spouse' on the Website, but MR reps. treat that as a misprint & so can we.
So make an award res. (real or dummy) & transfer away!!
