Four Points By Sheraton Auckland now shows, "Opening June 6, 2018," as noted by Sharon. The website is accepting reservations for stays beginning the night of June 6, 2018.

When I was in Auckland a couple of months ago, I walked by the Four Points while it was under construction. It's going into a building that had been an office tower built above a historical building.

I noted on FlyerTalk's SPG forum that the neighborhood seems nice. It's an easy walk to the Auckland Art Gallery, the University of Auckland, and the central shopping district. The hotel is less than a mile south of the waterfront and the ferry docks there. The airport bus service, SkyBus New Zealand, departs from the curb outside the hotel.

Great to have a Marriott-affiliated property opening in a few days in Auckland!
