Halifax Marriott Harbourfront
We booked with Priceline and stayed at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront last weekend and it was a great stay. I noticed that many guests were Elite Marriott members with the Visa Marriott credit card at checkin, lucky them! From my stay there, what was very impressive was the service. I don't recall such great service ever! I would give them (11) on a scale from (1) to (10). Maybe it will lower when the property really gets "up and running" after a couple of months/years, I don't know. The hotel looked new in the lobby and public areas. I don't know if this was before Marriott came or if the obvious renovations were done in the last year. The room was nice, spacious, clean and comfy. The bathroom was little old and dated, but also very clean and everything worked fine. The new Revive bed by Marriott was incredible, even better than the Sheraton or Westin beds. Parking was 17.10$... pricey, but I had a very, very good room rate. Location is perfect, next to the downtown area, harbour & historic properties.
This was my first stay at a Marriott property ever.

Checked in here and the hotel if wonderful! The staff are attentive and friendly. The hotel shape (think horse shoe) affords lots of rooms with views of th harbour and the gave us one. I'm only a Silver so I certainly wouldn't have expected it. A similar status at Hilton wouldn't have received the room we're in.
The hotel is situation at one end of the boardwalk and its very nice to stroll about and not that far at all from the famous Maritime Museum. Actually, the hotel is perfectly situated near most everything downtown.
The Westin is at the other end of the boardwalk and not on the water. Certainly the Marriott is the better choice for those who have more then one program.
