Should this be one night or two?

My husband has traveled with coworkers in the past and put both of their rooms on his MR#, and paid with his credit card. He's had no trouble getting credit for 2 nights (1 night each for 2 rooms) or even 3 when there are 3 rooms. They show up separately on his account activity.

Recently we (the family) have started traveling with him and I just noticed that the one night we spent at a Marriott in two rooms was only credited as 1 night's stay. The total points for both rooms showed up as a single line item on his account activity. I *think* that the difference is that his assistant reserved 2 rooms under 1 reservation instead of the previous method of 2 separate reservations.

I don't see this addressed in the T&C. The fact that a member can earn points for up to 3 rooms is addressed, but not the night credit. It would be nice to have the extra night credit - should we just make sure there are two separate reservations?

You are allowed points for up to three rooms a night but you should only get one night stay credit. If you received more than that in the past it was probably an error in the system and be happy with what you got.

Yes, we usually only get one nights credit as well.
