Rolling Status?
Has Marriott eliminated rolling status upgrades? I have 65 nights this year and had 27 nights from October-December of last year which should get me to the 75 nights on a rolling year.
I ws just wondering if they had stopped doing these upgrades as I have been at a level high enough to qualify for Platinum for four weeks now.
I will be there on the calendar year basis soon enough.....but I was just curious.

I doubt that they would have changed this. A month or so back when Marriott just released their Premier Signature CC with its 15 nights added, caused a problem when it added more like 50 nights. A lot of people were upgraded to Platinum for a short while because of their rolling nights went above 75 (at least until Marriott fixed the problem.
)
My understanding of this benefit is that they have specific times when they check this and I forget whether it is once a week, 2 weeks, or monthly that they check your balances. A search in this forum should find it. But if you recently made it past the 75 nights, it is possible their "check" time hasn't come around yet.
Your best bet is to call the Marriott Rewards support line. They know about this benefit and can even tell you how many nights within the next X days you will need to hit your next level. So they can tell you if you have enough to reach Platinum, or if their numbers and yours don't match yours.

They still do this. I had 21 nights from Sept to Dec last year and have 46 so far this year. I got switched to Gold about 6 weeks ago. Just received the new card last week with a letter saying they've bumped me up. I hope they do it again, because I'm closing in on enough nights for plat if I include the 21 nights from last year.

I was told by CS rep yesterday that the run for the rolling update check is every 2 weeks and the next one is this coming Monday. Might be worth calling them to see why you have been missed.

I called and they made me platinum while I was on the phone. They were not sure why, but somehow the system missed me. Thanks for the help.
Now if I can only track down the bonus bucks....from a Manhattan stay....
