Thanks I didnt see that, but I was going to do it as a Joint acct, the other time I opened it as as an Individual acct. in most cases including Brokerage accts to get Miles , they view it as not the same person.

Angry Beware !!

I emailed NetBank about not seeing any reference to the Marriott Rewards bonus on my account. Today I received the following response:

Dear Mr. XXXXXXX

Thank you for contacting NetBank. An account is eligible to receive a promotional bonus when applied for through the appropriate promotional link. When an application is submitted through a promotional link, it is automatically coded to receive that promotion. Our records indicate that your application for your accounts were not submitted in this manner and therefore will not qualify to receive the Marriott Rewards bonus. Should you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us. We appreciate your business and we look forward to serving you. Thank you for choosing NetBank

Sincerely,

NetBank Promotions Division
Phone: 888-256-6932; Fax: 770-343-6464

I'm glad I printed the pages as I applied and have documentation. Just once, I would like to get a promised bonus offer without all BS!

Netbank SUX!

Netbank has ignored my emails to date. All I get is canned responses. It looks like I will never get my MR points. Has anyone gotten points posted?

I would like to file a complaint, but don't know what agency regulated Netbank. Any ideas?

Bob

Did you try calling them and speaking to a customer service representative? My experience is that while they are not responsive to e-mails, phone contact usually results in a satisfactory resolution.

Yes, I have called, same nonsense. "We'll look into it and get back to you", but they never do.

I always recommend filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau....always seems to get a response fairly quickly - although typically used for monies due or services not renderred - I've also filed complaints about misleading advertising.....still always get a response.

This thread has saved me a lot of grief - I was suspect when NB wanted my ORIGINAL social security card, guaranteed signature along with about 5 other things that no one has ever asked me for (all this for me to GIVE them money). Now I don't have to have many regrets about losing some points I may never have received

They clearly don't need or want my business.

My new NetBank checking and money market accounts were funded on May 26th.

My Marriott account reflects following points posts from this promotion:

06/30/06 NETBANK MONEY MARKET BONUS 6,500
06/30/06 NETBANK CHECKING ACCOUNT BONUS 7,500

I had opened NetBank checking account couple of years back using another promotions and I was kind of surprised to learn that I did receive the "new account bonus" for my second checking account as well.

It was surprisingly painless promotion at least for me.

Same odd BS

More phone calls and emails and I have gotten nowhere. All I get is the same canned responses: Emails saying I didn't apply for the promotion or phone reps saying "we'll look into it. I really hate companies that pull this #$@*^%nonsense. Netbank is even worse than Amex !!!!

Looks good at first glance as the minimum deposits are so low.
FYI, the minimum balances required for the checking account offer (7500 points) has been increased to $1000 (from $500), and for the MM account offer (6500) points to $2500 (from $1000). There's also now an 8500-point CD offer.

I funded NetBank checking and money market accounts in mid-October and my points posted today (12/20, with a points earned date of 11/30) . I got a total of 17,000 for the two accounts plus direct deposits and bill-paying.

Other than a little initial difficulty getting the accounts funded (10-day hold on my deposit check, and failed transfer from checking account to CD), I have been pleased with the experience.
