Account history problem

Has anyone had a similar problem with account history, and what did you do about it? I called the Platinum customer care 800 number to check on my account. I plan to reduce travel soon due to retirement, and wanted to check on number of years as a member in the rewards program, total stays, and total points. I was told that my membership began in March, 1997. I am certain that I was a member in 1987 and thereafter, but do not have the records to prove it. I moved in March 1997, and I believe that the Honored Guests Award program became the current Marriott Rewards program about then. Any advice will be appreciated.

You'll need an account statement showing your account number with a reporting period in the timeframe you have given.

Didn't the HGA program converte to MR in 2000 (or 2001)?
