Best upgrade, ever. Booked for a couple of nights here and they gave me a corner suite which is massive compared to the last hotels I have been staying at. I wasn't expecting much in the way of an upgrade - I just hoped for an ocean view. If anything, Platinum has paid off on this trip. The staff are extremely friendly and genuine and made the stay very enjoyable. I really can not say enough positives about this place. The only downside is the weather but that is out of their control! I found the food and drinks to be reasonably priced here - dinner for two with a couple of drinks was about 110.
I received a breakfast coupon for both my wife and I and it was valid on the Saturday as well which was a nice touch. It is valid for the continental breakfast ("everything but the hot food") and there was a decent selection. Dining room is nice and the service was top notch.
The location of the place is fantastic - far enough away from the insanity of South Beach, but close enough to get to in a cab.
I have to say that I would definately come back here again and am actually looking forward to spending more time here.

I completely agree. I stay there back in September and was amazed how this once creepy hotel was remodeled into such a nice luxury property. Service was great as well as breakfast. Definitely a great pick for the Miami Beach area. Will be trying the South Beach Marriott next month though.
