Redeeming Marriott points
What are some suggestions on the nicest Marriott locations to redeem my points at. Is there a rating of the top 10 marriotts in the U.S.?

What do you mean by nice?
Nice to take your significant other to for a romantic getaway?
The Pheonix Desert Ridge & Spa is nice, if you like that style.
The JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes is good, too. So is the Ritz-Carlton there (but no points with them).
Rome Grand Flora.
Paris Downtown.
Nice to take the kids to for a big trip?
Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland (right across the street, IIRC), the hotel won't matter too much if Disneyland is next door.

Thanks for reply, sorry to be so vague. I meant sometning to effect for best bang for the points. Great room, great view, superior staff etc. New to this site, so I'm still learning what goes where. I have about 500,000 points thought I better start using them. Take care.

Vegasbaby 500,000 is a lot of points-I am jealous!
I am saving points for my 50th B'day "grand tour"of Europe in 2010.And I figure I will need around 350,000-500,000 to do it right.
I am looking at two travel packages(miles and 7 nights in a nice marriott property)=equals 400,000 and a few nights in a third hotel.
You can have a fantastic trip of a lifetime with 500,000!

lol- gee- i could help you out by using your points for you!!!! lol...
i'm only 50k points away from a week in hawaii!!!
actually- check out the "dreamchasers" on marriot.com- they have some deals there that include hotel for a week AND airfare for just marriot points- around 200k for the whole thing...

Anyhow as the above thread mentions the dreamchaser will help you manage this and look at some of the better bargains (high and low end properties.) Definitely look through the vacation packages...you can get the flight, and hotel taken care of, and I think a few of them include a rental car?!?!?!
I personally enjoy spa vacations, so hitting a JW Marriott location would be my preference. Desert Ridge was mentioned, but if you prefer a more scenic (green environment) you could hit the JW @ Cherry Creek (Denver, CO). That property is beautiful and depending on the weather, you could enjoy nearby golfing, hiking, or skiing within a reasonable drive.

Yes, use points at very expensive hotels, like Paris Champs Elysees. And the most "expensive" awards are the best deals, by far. You can also convert points to airline miles -- not at a very good exchange rate, but that's another option to consider.
