Question about category hotels
I have a voucher from the Mariott Visa Card for 1 free night in hotels categories 1-4
1) are there any mariott's non (courtayrd or residence inn), but plain Mariotts that fit into this category
2) will I earn points on stays like these???

There are many. Some Cat 3; more Cat 4.
There is probably an easier path but you can go to "Browse Hotel Rewards." Then click on the "hotel category chart" hyperlink, then you can view the hotels in each category by clicking the drop-down at the top right.

No, you won't earn points for a free stay. Sometimes though they do give you a credit for the night towards status though.

Hi,
I read your post about the free certificate. Could I inquire as to how long after you received your visa that you received your free stay certificate?
Some posters have said they often fail to send it to you and you might need to call and request it. I have had my card for about 2 weeks now.Just checking to see what you experienced? Thanks, Deb-Indiana
