...and they're only good thru January 15, 2006.

Marriott and JW Marriott Hotels
Treat yourself to a weekend escape
A savory offer for half the price

Renaissance Hotels
Renew yourself with a weekend getaway
Two-for-one dining

Minimal international properties are included, a disappointment for me.

Seeing a trend with the eligible int'l properties of late:
- Mostly UK properties and a handful of world-wide ones
- Canada not included

Insofar as the "short shelf life" of what are arguably the most popular of the just-released online offers my guess that's attributal to the untimely posting.

Experience has been that these things are issued (mailed) four times yearly (with simultaneous availability online commencing in the first half of this year).

Also, I believe from the time they were first introduced it was on a schedule of 4 times a year with each release having validity for a duration of 3 months. .

Had the just-released fall EEOs been put online and mailed earlier (I suspect that somewhere around 10/15/05 was the original target date), the validity period for the current "major EEOs" would have been roughly the same as those in the past.

Of course, I'm just guessing.

As usual I can't uses these.

1. Too late to plan something last minute.
2. Canada and New York is excluded.

Two months is "last minute"?

I'm curious how much time elapsed from the offers going online and your post. I suspect it is measured in minutes, maybe seconds.

I appreciate your diligence. I knew I just needed to check FT.
