Marriott deserves some praise

I don't often post favorable comments about frequent traveler programs, but Marriott does something very well that most programs fail to perform even at a satisfactory level. I just had my double points promo (Visa) post with no delay. In fact every promo which I have qualified with Marriott has posted right when it should have posted.

Airlines are terrible at posting promo's. Credit card like AMEX are even worse. But Marriott does a good job.

Thanks Marriott.

is your elite bonus 25% of the total including double or just the base earnings?

Unfortunately, you only get the elite bonus on the original points, not the doubled ones.

I have the Hilton AMEX, and the points post every month without a hitch. Because of their (new) system of 5 pts/$ on certain purchases, it's sometimes tough to figure out exactly how many points you should be getting. Having said that, I've never had my figure match theirs; theirs is always more, so I let it go.
