For free breakfast, there is no difference between a Gold and a Plat. At FS properties, they both should get either breakfast in the CL, or if no CL, then a comperable free breakfast in the restuarant (usually something like a 'Healthy Start' breakfast. This benefit is only required on weekdays, not weekends, and NOT at any property dubbed a "Resort".
The rules do not preclude a Resort property for offering a free breakfast to any one they choose (i.e. Plats), but it isn't guaranteed. The rules also don't preclude a property from offering any one they choose a full breakfast buffet instead of the 'Healthy Start' breakfast, but again, it isn't guaranteed.
