Hotels in Lima

Yes, I did a search, but I couldn't find anything on hotels in Lima, Peru. I am thinking about staying at the JW Marriott in Lima. Has anyone stayed there before? Any suggestions? I also see a Doubletree in Mireflores and a Sheration in Lima Downtown. Any advice is greatly appreciated

I stayed at both the JW and the downtown Sheraton in March. The JW was quite a bit nicer and newer looking, and is in a better part of town. If you are just there a night as a jumping point to Cuzco, it probably does not matter. But if you plan to be there more than that, then I definately would recommend the JW over the Sheraton.

Lasnowgirl,
This is a great hotel in Lima. Probably the best major hotel you can find. To get a good idea of the hotel, take a look at HotelScoop: http://www.hotelscoop.com/hotelDetai...p?Hotelid=4660

It has real photos from inside the hotel, taken by real people. Should give you a good sense of what to expect.

Wow, I'm under-impressed with the room itself.
