Marriott Gift Certificates
Will I receive Marriott Points if I purchase gift certificates to give.

you might if you pay with a Marriott Visa card
otherwise
when they are cashed in against the bill by someone staying at a Marriott
that person will get the points (assuming they are a MR member)

If you are staying at a full service Marriott and have the gift certs charged to your room, you should get points.
