Mega Bonus offer
Guys...the Mega Bonus offer that is going on now...how often is it repeated throughout the year? Or is this just an annual thing? I stay at Marriott about 3 to 4 times a week and have since January. I could use the extra 25k each time they do this, as it puts me into a different class of hotel for my 'freebie' stays. Any imput?

It was only once last year. 7 stays for 10K was mine last year. 2 stays for 5K this year (and stay #1 is tonight).

The have a bunch of other bonuses during the year, keep your eyes pealed. Last year, there was a bonus for using Amex, which netted me 25k points.
As for as I know, there is no other such bonus available now.

I hope they do the double-points for Silvers again next summer. I snagged 50K from one stay from that promo last year. ^

As an advisory, I've already done the Megabonus stays and the bonus posted within 5 days of the qualifier. Nice job.

Sorry about the omission. 2 stays/5K posted contemporaniously with base points of qualifier......

Different offers???
Are the different offers based on level of elite status? I got the 20nt/30K and am plat...if not does anyone know how to sign up for the other offers. I could get the 5 and 15 nt ones completed w/ ease. end of '03 there was also a "Visa" bonus which was dbl points for like a 3 month period. Since I use my WN Visa for most of my travel I liked that one a lot.
I understand that they are trying to have defined costs to their "mega bonus" promo, but why limit us road warriors to one go around...if we can get 40 nts, why not give us a 2nd bonus??? Seems it would only attract the serious travellers that much more.

As to why they don't just let us suck up all the points (I'm a 150 night a year man, too), I suppose it has to do with dilution of benefits (see Hilton
) and the fact that there are many more less intense travellers than us out there. I think that's the business they're going after. We're just well-placed enough to take advantage.May we live long and prosper.
